Chris impressed us with his enthusiastic knowledge of trees and how to achieve the results we wanted. The CHC team carried out the varied work of crown reduction, tree removal and selected pruning with care and efficiency. The garden was left tidy and its appearance was vastly improved.

CHC Tree Care tackled our unruly trees - a mixture of fruit and ornamental - with knowledge and kindness. At all times the CHC Tree Care staff consulted us when necessary but otherwise quietly got on with the job - as far as the chain saws etc allowed! We are really pleased with the results - well shaped and airy trees and we are looking forward to bumper crops of healthy fruit and flowers. CHC Tree Care were cheerful and took pride in their design work. The bonus was that CHC Tree Care cleared up well, taking away all the surplus wood. CHC Tree Care were great. First an initial visit to assess the situation and explain the options (with clear costings), and just a week later the problem tree was gone. No more branches banging against the upper windows. No further damage to the roof tiles. No longer any risk to the foundations from the roots, and loads more light into the house. Chris did offer a cheaper solution - an extreme haircut for the tree - (a pollard) but explained why the same problems would just recur in five years or so, and showed us markings on the bark indicating the “last time: maybe seven years back.” Removal was not much more costly, and the job was done by friendly staff in half a day. All that is left is a stump cut flush to the ground, which has been treated to prevent re-growth. A very pleasant experience - and good value too.
I'd like to thank CHC for the brilliant job you made on the landscaping work carried out for my Mother. The aggregate you suggested for the front was exactly right and the improvement has made a big difference to her. She always appreciates your friendliness when you come to trim her hedge, your hard work is evident in all you do and she is always pleased with how carefully you tidy up afterwards! At a most acceptable cost you have made a massive difference to her garden, and I will certainly recommend you to anyone needing your skills in their gardens.
We are extremely happy with the service provided by CHC Tree Care. Not only did they remove 2 huge trees, and a couple of smaller ones within the day, they did so professionally (only requiring the occasional cup of tea) and tidily. There was no mess left behind, and they tidied as they went, which was impressive as they removed a lot of trees. Alongside the 'work' side of things, the team who tackled our garden were a really good bunch of guys. They were very polite, friendly, approachable and willing to answer any questions that we had, both when the job was being quoted for and during the tree removal itself.
