Monkey puzzle crown lift in Fulwood

We carried out some work in Fulwood to raise the crown of a mature monkey puzzle tree to give more light to the client's house.

The tree was in good health, and from initial quotation with the client, we established it simply needed the crown raising to give more light to the rear of the house.

We applied for permission through Sheffield Council as the tree was in the Fulwood Conservation Area - this was quickly granted, so we arranged a suitable date for the works to take place.

The crown lifting was a real challenge - as working with any Monkey Puzzle is - but the job went well. We kept the form of the tree as close to what would be considered 'natural' as possible.

The client was delighted with the end result of the reduction, giving them more light to a large portion of their house.
